Reflections on 'THE CONSTANT GARDENER'

The movie showcases the sufferings of third world countries such as Africa. The movie is difficult to watch in the sense that it is emotionally moving. Watching the westerners commiting crimes at such a big scale brings both anger and pity.

Anger surfaces when one of the characters actually tries to bring justice to the Africans but ends up getting raped and killed. At the same time, you pity the Africans who are all innocent and are getting affected by the drug.

Though the company's officials appeared to be rather merciless, i think it depicts a rather similar picture on the plight of the people in the third world countries. It basically shows that the people in such countries are being ill-treated and nothing can be done to help them.Im sure that if something is actually being done currently, the thrid world countries would have progressed.

I do hope more of such movies will be made in the future in an attempt to educate the young and old on the injustice occuring in Africa. This would certainly help to bring more people into helping those in need.
