REFLECTIONS on the CONSTANT GARDENER

the constant garderner tells the story of Justin Quayle, a man who finds his wife, Tessa Quayle, murdered and then seeks to uncover the reasons behind her death. the issue that i learnt from this movie is that the fact that there are drug companies that have been doing such things in today's modern world. i find them cruel and pathetic that they would go to such extent of using less fortunate and desperate people just to test their newly made, non-tested drugs on them. i think that they should at least warn the people first and have volunteers from that country rather than testing on them secretly. and if they were to continue to do this testing secretly, they should also know their limits and stop. in the movie, it seems that the drug company knows that the drug, dypraxa, don't only cure the illness but also ends the person's life. thus, in my opinion, they should stop once they see the number of people dieing due to dypraxa. on the other hand, they still continue to issue dypraxa to the african community. these people should be punished and be hanged. (: i know i sound evil, but who are they to take away peoples life just to make money out of it. and to think of it, in the movie, they showed us that those people who died because of dypraxa were taken and dumped at a empty field and they were said not to exist. ain't that a crime? thus, they should be punished. if people who does drug trafficking are sentenced to death, why not the people who does drug test on other people illegally? why are they spared? this might be because these comanies are somewhat related to the government. thus this shows that the world is corrupted. i hope i would be able to play apart in the fight against such crimes made by such people.
